HB 1265 would provide a permanent sales and use tax exemption for feminine hygiene products. The legislature recognizes that feminine hygiene products are a necessary purchase for personal health and hygiene as well as it adds a regressive tax burden on females and low-income families. If passed this bill would take effect July 1, 2017.
Referred to Finance, but never had a hearing. This bill did not move out of its committee before the cutoff date.
