HB 1011 would amend the declaration of civil rights section of the current state discrimination law under labor regulations to clearly outline the rights of use of gender-segregated facilities. This bill states that there is nothing in current statue that prohibits a public or private entity from limiting access to a private facility segregated by gender. Thereby there is no violation of civil rights and the actions of the private or public entity would not constitute as discrimination.
Referred to Judiciary Committee, but has not been scheduled for a hearing. This bill did not move out of its committee before the Policy Committee Cutoff date.
